Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)
At Clinique NIOS, we have several devices to meet the growing demand from healthcare professionals for the diagnosis of certain chronic diseases or simply to update your health record.
We offer several services thanks to our devices, such as an ABPM (Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring), an ECG (Electrocardiogram), a spirometer, and all the necessary devices to measure your vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, oximetry, and even capillary blood glucose.
Ambulatory Blood
Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) ABPM (Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring) involves using a small device in the form of a box that you can wear on your belt or over your shoulder, depending on your comfort. It is connected by a cuff, which is placed on your arm and adjusted to your size.
ABPM is used to diagnose high blood pressure (hypertension), determine the effect of white coat syndrome, identify masked hypertension, or even periodically assess blood pressure during pharmacological treatment and lifestyle changes.
Procedure

Installation of
the device At Clinique NIOS, we use the Welch Allyn device. You only need one appointment for the installation of the device and the related instructions.

Blood
pressure
measurement
Once the nurse has installed the device and provided the necessary instructions, you can return to your activities. Blood pressure measurements will be automatically scheduled every 30 minutes during the day and every 60 minutes at night for 24 hours. These intervals may vary depending on your doctor’s prescription, but generally, these are the recommended settings.
03.
Return
of the device
Then, we simply ask you to return the device once the test is completed, 24 hours after the start of the monitoring. As soon as you return the device, we will download the data and send a complete report to the prescribing doctor, who will contact you to inform you of the results.
