Resting
Electrocardiogram (ECG) Electrocardiogram
at Rest (ECG at Rest) The purpose of an electrocardiogram (ECG) is to indicate and record the electrical activity of the heart. In other words, it checks the speed at which the heart beats (heart rate), whether it beats normally (heart rhythm), and the efficiency of the heart muscle. It is a short, simple, and painless examination.
Procedure
01.
Installation The appointment is fairly quick; it simply involves placing a few electrodes at specific locations on your body, namely on the chest, wrists, and ankles.
02.
ECG (10 seconds) Next, you need to remain still for about 10 seconds while the device records the electrical activity of your heart, all without any pain. Afterward, we remove the electrodes, and the device prints a report.
03.
Cardiologist and results to
the prescribing
doctor This report is then sent to a cardiologist for a more accurate interpretation of the results. We then ensure that the interpreted report is forwarded to the prescribing doctor so they can inform you of the results.
