Nurses can independently plan and provide care and treatments related to changes in the skin and integuments, without the need for prescription medication. Did you know that this is the 7th reserved activity for the nursing profession?
Our team of nurses allows us to offer a variety of treatments for the skin and integuments, such as personalized wound care, suture or staple removal, as well as wart treatment.
Removal of stitches or staples
If you have recently undergone surgery that required stitches or staples, at the NIOS Clinic, our nurses can assist with their removal.

If you have lost the prescription or simply don’t have one, don’t worry—according to reserved activity #7 for the nursing profession, the nurse can decide to remove the stitches and staples based on the type of wound and its progress, without a medical prescription.

At the NIOS Clinic, we can perform this procedure with or without a medical prescription. Our skilled nurses will ensure your comfort throughout the procedure while being highly efficient.
Following the procedure, advice on wound care and infection prevention will be provided. If necessary, we can also ensure follow-up care.
